Great drill. I have used this every day for a week with one battery, before I needed to change it. The less volt battery drills have a slight problem getting through metal decking under the concrete,and battery charge does not last long. The only thing that I could slightly complain about is the overall weight of the drill and battery together when drilling above your head. Most of our piping is hung from expansion shields in concrete from above.
However, with the equal power of the 110v and not dragging extension cords around through the tightest of places, I am getting used to the extra weight real quick. This 36 volt cordless was the answer to it all. I have used the Bosch 110v cord drills for many years without any problems except dragging 100ft. I have been in construction as a Union Pipefitter for 23yrs. extension cords either up ladders or tied onto scissor and bucket lifts.
Like other Bosch hammer drills, it is smooth, quick, and rugged.
1/2 inch holes drain the juice fast. as in more power and longer battery life than any dewalt or hilti I've ever used. drills 1/4 inch holes like a champ all day long. wouldn't try bigger.all in all the best cordless roto I've ever used for overall power/battery life ratio.
If you're in the market for a rotary hammer and have the budget for this tool, look no more. Even under the considerable stress we give it it lasts longer than any battery pack I've ever seen and continues produces unreal power until it is completely drained. We have one of these hammers at work, and it even outruns the corded rotary hammers we use. It drills through our high-strength bridge concrete like it was sand and will run a 2" core bit through tough carbon fiber and epoxy and run right into the high grade concrete as if to say "what else ya got."The battery is phenomenal. I've yet to see a single weakness in the tool; it's so good it has altered the way we run some of our tests and is used for things we thought were impossible without SDS Max.
I can't find anything wrong with this drill, it is a winner. For a battery operated hammer drill the power is awesome. Great drill, I'm a contractor and own several battery operated drills and other tools. Took a couple of charging cycles to reach it's full potential but after that it has preformed flawlessly. Batteries charge fast and last for hours of heavy work and the case holds all the bits.
I had used for many years a corded rotary hammer. This rotary hammer eats through concrete and block walls as if they were made out of soft butter. Since I have this Bosch monster, my corded hammer is rotting away in the tool shed.
